Who we are

The Fairfield Review is an independent review of the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), looking at what progress the service has made since Baroness Casey’s Review into the standards of behaviour and internal culture of the MPS in 2023. Dr Gillian Fairfield was appointed independent Chair of the Review, which started on 15 December 2025. It opened opportunities for engagement in March 2026.

How we use your data

We use information submitted to:

  • respond to your enquiries or requests
  • provide support or further information about the Review

How we store and protect your data

On a practical level:

  • We keep your email and any associated information secure and accessible only to authorised team members.
  • We do not share, sell or disclose your information to third parties unless required by law.
  • All personal data held is stored within the United Kingdom and will not be transferred outside of the United Kingdom.
  • All personal data we receive is handled fairly and lawfully in accordance with data protection legislation.

How long we keep your data

  • We will keep information until the conclusion of the Review unless required for ongoing communication or legal obligations.
  • At the end of the Review, some of the personal information held by the Review may be transferred to the National Archives in accordance with the Public Records Act 1958.
  • All other information will be deleted at the conclusion of the Review.

Your rights

All individuals have a number of rights under the UK GDPR. This includes the right to:

  • request access to the personal data we hold about you, which is also known as a subject access request
  • ask us to delete or correct your data
  • withdraw consent for us to use your data

This notice will be regularly reviewed and may be subject to revision. Any revision to the privacy notice will be highlighted on this website.
